About My Project

While I'm in the marine biology research program I hope to be able to combine two of my passions fashion and science. Many do not realize how science and fashion can operate together, but with the textile industry being one of the largest polluters it’s already an issue that needs to be solved. The fashion industry is the second largest polluter globally(AlterNet, 2019). The peer review journal article “From a Systematic Literature Review to a classification Framework: Sustainability Integration in fashion Operations” gave many examples of why sustainable fashion research is needed in the science world.
